Coming from a very difficult childhood and low self-esteem, evangelist, author, and now school chaplain Lorena Garza learned this lesson early. With God on her
side, she began pushing beyond her emotional pain by bringing hope and healing to others. At 17, she had an encounter with God that changed her life and
allowed her to forgive those who had hurt her. Joy, passion, and purpose are now hallmarks of her life.
Lorena, along with her husband, served as youth pastors at Living Faith Outreach for 20 years in Dickinson, Texas. For the past 16 years, Lorena has sponsored
Christian clubs at both the public junior high and high school in Dickinson, TX. She and her husband have hosted annual youth rallies and summer camps, and are
guest ministers at other churches and youth groups. They have two sons and a daughter.
